Established in 1963, Sitalakshmi Girls Higher Secondary School began its journey in a rented building with around 300 students. Over the decades, the school has grown while remaining committed to quality education, values, discipline, and students' overall development. Today, more than six decades later, we continue to build on that foundation while embracing modern approaches to learning and preparing students for a changing world.

Our Story
A Vision That Began in 1963. Founded by Sri C. S. Ramachary in June 1963, Sitalakshmi Girls School has grown steadily while staying true to its founding vision. Late Sri M. S. Sivanth played an important role in the school's administration and development. Mrs. V. K. Meenakshi, B.A.B.T., the school's first Headmistress, served from 1963 to 1979 and contributed to the school's early development. As the school grew, the Management expanded its campus at Thirunagar 3rd Stop, Madurai, creating a spacious and supportive learning environment for students.
